If this isn’t your first time visiting my blog, you may have seen a post I put up last week about how to make a simple knit sheath dress. I was so pleased with myself after making something wear-able that I decided to spotlight it for another post. Image may be NSFW.

What I really love most about this dress (aside from being machine washable) is that it is a very versatile color. The fabric is gray with a very subtle sheen, and I can wear it with every cover-up piece I have in my small wardrobe, including sweaters and blazers. This makes it a great office capsule wardrobe piece because I can easily wash between wears and throw a different cover up on for the office. Since it’s a stretchy knit, it’s also really comfortable.
Here it is with my five cover-ups: a pink sweater (Buffalo Exchange Logan Circle), a gray sweater (Banana Republic Factory), a bright yellow/green sweater (J.Crew), a gray blazer (Zara), and a black blazer (J.Crew Factory Outlet). I’d pair all of these with my practical and comfortable CL by Chinese Laundry wedges in black patent.
